Introduction

GGH is a homodimeric protein which catalyzes the cleavage of the gamma-glutamyl chain of folylpoly-gamma-glutamyl substrates. GGH is a vital enzyme in folyl and antifolyl poly-gamma-glutamate metabolism and it has a significant part in the bioavailability of dietary pteroylpolyglutamates and in the metabolism of antifolates and pteroylpolyglutamates.

Description

GGH Human Recombinant produced in E.coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 315 amino acids (25-318) and having a molecular mass of 35.9kDa.
GGH is fused to a 21 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Source

E.coli.

Physical Appearance

Sterile Filtered colorless solution.

Formulation

The GGH solution (0.5mg/ml) contains 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0), 100mM NaCl, 1mM DTT and 10% glycerol.

Stability

Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time.
