Fas Apoptotic Inhibitory Molecule 1, FAIM.
Introduction
Fas
apoptotic inhibitory molecule, also known as FAIM function as an inducible
effector molecule which mediates Fas resistance produced by surface Ig engagement
in B cells. In addition FAIM protects against death receptor-triggered
apoptosis and regulates B-cell signaling and differentiation. Among the
diseases associated with FAIM are hemorrhagic thrombocythemia, and food allergy.
Description
FAIM Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 236 amino acids (1-213aa) and having a molecular mass of 26.4kDa.
FAIM is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Source
Escherichia Coli.
Physical Appearance
Sterile Filtered clear solution.
Formulation
FAIM protein solution (0.5 mg /ml) containing 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0), 0.4M UREA and 10% glycerol.
Stability
Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time.
For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).
Please avoid freeze thaw cycles.
