Catalogue number

ANT-554

Synonyms

Cellular repressor of E1A-stimulated genes 1, protein CREG1, CREG.

Type

Mouse Anti Human Monoclonal.

Introduction

Cellular Repressor of E1A-Stimulated Genes 1 (CREG1) both activates and inhibits gene expression to stimulate cellular proliferation and hinder differentiation. CREG1 antagonizes transcriptional activation and cellular transformation by E1A. CREG1 shares partial sequence similarity with E1A and binds both the general transcription factor TBP and the tumor suppressor pRb in vitro. CREG1 contributes to the transcriptional control of cell growth and differentiation.

Clone

PAT1C6AT.

Physical Appearance

Sterile filtered colorless solution.

Immunogen

Anti-human CREG1 mAb, is derived from hybridization of mouse F0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from BALB/c mice immunized with a recombinant human CREG1 protein 32-220 amino acids purified from E. coli.

Ig Subclass

Mouse IgG2b heavy chain and k light chain.

Purification Method

CREG1 antibody was purified from mouse ascitic fluids by protein-A affinity chromatography.

Formulation

1mg/ml containing PBS, pH-7.4, 10% Glycerol and 0.02% Sodium Azide.

Storage Procedures

For periods up to 1 month store at 4°C, for longer periods of time, store at -20°C.
Prevent freeze thaw cycles.

Stability / Shelf Life

12 months at -20°C. 1 month at 4°C.

Applications

CREG1 antibody has been tested by ELISA, Western blot analysis to assure specificity and reactivity. Since application varies, however, each investigation should be titrated by the reagent to obtain optimal results. Recommended starting dilution is 1:1000.
