Introduction
Creatine Kinase BB is a cytoplasmic enzyme involved in energy homeostasis. The encoded protein reversibly catalyzes the transfer of phosphate between ATP and various phosphogens such as creatine phosphate. It acts as a homodimer in brain as well as in other tissues, and as a heterodimer with a similar muscle isozyme in heart. The encoded protein is a member of the ATP:guanido phosphotransferase protein family. A pseudogene of this gene has been characterized.

Immunogen
Anti-human CKB mAb, is derived from hybridization of mouse F0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from BALB/c mice immunized with recombinant human CKB amino acids 1-381 purified from E. coli.

Purification Method
CKB antibody was purified from mouse ascitic fluids by protein-A affinity chromatography.
Formulation
1mg/ml containing PBS, pH-7.4, 10% Glycerol and 0.02% Sodium Azide.
Storage Procedures
For periods up to 1 month store at 4°C, for longer periods of time, store at -20°C.

Applications
CKB antibody has been tested by ELISA, Western blot analysis, Flow cytometry and ICC/IF to assure specificity and reactivity. Since application varies, however, each investigation should be titrated by the reagent to obtain optimal results.
