Description
The CITED2 Human is created as a recombinant protein with a 4kda N-terminal fusion of His Tag. The CITED2 His-Tagged Fusion Protein, produced in E. coli, is a 26kDa protein containing 160 amino acid residues of the CITED2 Human, 1-160 amino acids.
Source
Physical Appearance
Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.
Formulation
Each mg was lyophilized with 1xPBS, 0.4% SDS and 4mM DTT.
Solubility
It is recommended to add deionized water to prepare a working stock solution of approximately 0.5mg/ml and let the lyophilized pellet dissolve completely. Product is not sterile! Please filter the product by an appropriate sterile filter before using it on cell culture.
Stability
Store lyophilized CITED2 at -20°C. Aliquot the product after reconstitution to avoid repeated freezing/thawing cycles. Reconstituted protein can be stored at 4°C for a limited period of time; it does not show any change after two weeks at 4°C.
Purity
Greater than 90% as determined by SDS-PAGE.

Background
CITED2 also known as Cbp/p300-Interacting Trans activator 2 is an important transcriptional cofactor which is involved in multiple organ development. CITED2 is part of the CITED family which take an important role in gene regulation & cellular signalling.
CITED2 is a cAMP-responsive element-binding protein interacting transcriptional modulator and an anticipated negative regulator for Recombinant human CITED2 protein 1 hypoxia-inducible factor (HIF) -1alpha by competing on the binding with HIF-1alpha to CBP/p300.
CITED2 is essential for Mouse Fetal liver haematopoiesis and also mandatory for the appropriate formation of the hyaloid vasculature and for lens morphogenesis as well.
CITED2 is recognized for its relations with transcriptional coactivators, such as CBP and p300 and also takes part in various biological processes, together with cardiovascular development, metabolism, as well as response to hypoxia.
Moreover, the most valuable form of CITED2 for learning its functional roles & potential applications in cancer research and regenerative medicine is the Recombinant one which is produced by molecular cloning and expression systems.
