Synonyms
GSK3B, Glycogen synthase kinase-3 beta, GSK-3 beta.
Type
Mouse Anti Human Monoclonal.
Introduction
GSK3B is a serine-threonine kinase that belongs to the glycogen synthase kinase subfamily. GSK3B is involved in energy metabolism, neuronal cell development, and body pattern formation. Polymorphisms in the GSK3B gene have been implicated in modifying risk of Parkinson disease, and studies in mice show that overexpression of the GSK3B gene may be significant to the pathogenesis of Alzheimer disease.
Clone
P1F7AT.
Immunogen
Anti-human GSK3B mAb, is derived from hybridization of mouse SP2/O myeloma cells with spleen cells from BALB/c mice immunized with recombinant human GSK3B amino acids 341-420 purified from E. coli.
Ig Subclass
Mouse IgG1 heavy chain and κ light chain.
Purification Method
GSK3B antibody was purified from mouse ascitic fluids by protein-G affinity chromatography.
Physical Appearance
Sterile Filtered clear solution.
Formulation
1mg/ml containing PBS, pH-7.4, & 0.1% Sodium Azide.
Storage Procedures
For periods up to 1 month store at 4°C, for longer periods of time, store at -20°C.
Prevent freeze thaw cycles.
Stability / Shelf Life
12 months at -20°C. 1 month at 4°C.
Applications
GSK3B antibody has been tested by ELISA and Western blot analysis to assure specificity and reactivity. Since application varies, however, each investigation should be titrated by the reagent to obtain optimal results. Recommended dilution range for Western blot analysis is 1:1,000 ~ 3,000. Recommended starting dilution is 1:2,000.
