Introduction
Chlamydia is a common term for infection with any bacterium belonging to the phylum Chlamydiae. This term derives from the name of the bacterial genus Chlamydiain the family Chlamydiaceae, order Chlamydiales, class and phylum Chlamydiae. There are two genera in Chlamydiaceae: Chlamydia and Chlamydophila. The genus Chlamydia includes three species: C. trachomatis, C. muridarum, and C. suis.
Description
The E.coli derived recombinant 6xHis fusion at C-terminus. protein contains Chlamydia TrachomatisMOMP protein epitopes, 128-398 amino acids.
Purification Method
Chlamydia W3-W6 protein was purified by proprietary chromatographic technique.
Purity
Chlamydia W3-W6 protein is >95% pure as determined by 10% PAGE (coomassie staining) and RP-HPLC.
Formulation
10mM Tris-HCl, pH 6.5, 100mM Sodium Phosphate and 8M urea.
Stability
Chlamydia W3-W6 protein although stable at 4°C for 1 week, should be stored below -18°C.

Specificity
Immunoreactive with sera of Chlamydia Trachomatis infected individuals.
Applications
Chlamydia W3-W6 is suitable for use in ELISA. Each laboratory should determine an optimum working titer for use in its particular application. Other applications have not been tested but use in such assays should not necessarily be excluded.
