Introduction
Chlamydia is a common term for infection with any bacterium belonging to the phylum Chlamydiae. This term derives from the name of the bacterial genus Chlamydiain the family Chlamydiaceae, order Chlamydiales, class and phylum Chlamydiae. There are two genera in Chlamydiaceae: Chlamydia and Chlamydophila. The genus Chlamydia includes three species: C. trachomatis, C. muridarum, and C. suis.
Description
The E.coli derived recombinant 6x His fusion at C-terminus protein contains Chlamydia Trachomatis MOMP protein epitopes, 66-165 amino acids.

Purification Method
Chlamydia W2 was purified by proprietary chromatographic technique.
Purity
Protein is >90% pure as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Formulation
20mM Tris-HCl, pH 7.2, 50% glycerol and 1.5M urea.
Stability
Chlamydia W2 protein although stable at 4°C for 1 week, should be stored below -18°C.
Please prevent freeze thaw cycles.
Specificity
Immunoreactive with sera of Chlamydia Trachomatis
infected individuals with minimum specificity problems.
